Take these broken wings x x And learn to fly again, learn to live so free -------------------------------------
It was mid evening in Cotton Candy Lane, the last of the golden sun was just trying to remain above the horizon. So you could say it was not light, yet not quite dark either. More so in between, but when darkness did fall this place would be full of fun and merriment. One paticular girl made her way into the square for she had just finished the task of delivering a pie to someone in the nearby store, she had one more to deliver but she would worry about that later. Her name was Sugar but her real name unknown to her was Nalu, since she was small she had lived in the pie shop helping the baker and his wife take care of things. Yet there was a part in her that always thought she belonged somewhere else, maybe that's why she always stared off into the distance where the castle of King Lyle was. Finding a bench to sit on she gently placed the baked pie down first before sitting, blowing out the candle in her other hand and looked to the sky. The stars were slowly starting to show themselves, like diamonds polished to perfection. They were so beautiful and often before she went to bed, Nalu would just open her window upstairs in the pie shop and just stare at the endless ocean of stars. A small smile crept across her lips as she turned her gaze away from the sky, glancing over to the soda fountain. Lined on the side of the fountain were small cups and a ladle, so if anyone was thirsty they could drink the soda. Standing from the bench she walked over to the fountain and with one finger took a taste. "Mhm, still soda...". It hadn't switched over to wine yet, so taking a cup and using the ladle she served herself some soda. Putting the ladle back where she found it after. Returning to her seat she sipped the soda in silence, her mother and father at the pie shop were always so strict with her. Everytime she went out to make a delivery they always told her to keep her guard up, not to talk to strangers and what not. It was almost as if they were afraid of something happening to her, though most of the time she just pushed their words to the back of her mind. Yes she knew about the troubles King Tristan often caused, which was almost every single day. Even so the people here were kind and nice, sometimes a little moody but who wouldn't be after a long day right. Sometimes she felt like a caged bird not being able to spread it's wings, at least not fully. Nalu knew the baker and his wife meant well trying to protect her from things, but all she wanted was just a little more freedom to do what she wanted. So perhaps tonight she would stay out late to take part in the festivities here in Festival Square, not worrying about going back just yet. Though there was still the matter of this pie. Nero knew he needed to find something to eat or else he was going to starve to death. It was a good thing that he had some money to buy food with at least. Although he was going to have to be careful to ration it, which is rather hard though so he does rather love food. The idea made him licked his lips as he wondered when was the last time he ate. It felt like ages ago but then again it wasn't like he was actually a patient person anyway so he was sure that it was just a day or two ago. Even then though it was rather long time ago for someone his age. After all wasn't there a saying, 'a growing boy needs to eat' or something like that? He wasn't exactly sure since it wasn't like he had adults to tell him little idioms over and over again as a method to try to teach him some moral. Not that he minded though, it was a lot easier this way. Morals were so boring anyway.
Soon though golden irises was filled with glee as he caught a scent. It was rather light but he knew what it was for sure. It was pie which meant food or even better sweets, the best kind of food there was! The silvete couldn't help but again licked his lips. Now where was it? He looked around trying to see through this stupid crowd. Why were there so many people here anyway? Was something big going on? He was rather curious but right now he had better things to worry about, get his food and then go find a job to do so he can earn some extra money. He needed some new kodachis anyway. That and look for a companion, traveling alone can get so boring he needed someone to talk to, someone to observe and learn how to at from. After all he had problems portraying emotions besides childish glee such as sadness, anger and even fear. He heard they were rather basic emotions but he can never seem to get them down right at all.
The boy maneuvered through the crowd rather easily until he spotted the pie and grabbed it to eat. He saw a girl sitting on the bench but didn't pay her any mind at first until he was halfway done with his pie which was rather fast. He was a bit stunned that he didn't get a stomach ache. "Eh? What is a girl like yourself doing out here all alone?" he asked tilting his head gently to the side but still eating the pie. He made sure to not have his mouthful though as it was considered rude. No, his parents weren't the one that taught him such manners, he simply picked it up somewhere along the way as he traveled from town to town. Really the girl looked older than him but she was rather defenseless in his eyes. After all he can kill someone and knew people's weaknesses rather well but from the looks of her...she looked like those toys. What do they call those? Girls play with them rather often....dolls was it? He thinks that was the word for it. Oh whatever like it mattered anyway. From what he saw, those things weren't that fun except for slowly cutting their necks off. Wait....does that mean that it would be fun to cut her neck off? Great now he was tempted but well....he was more of hungry than bored right now.⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫ i just want to leave it colder ⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫ tag;;sugar/princess nalu words;;608 notes;;none

Take these broken wings x x And learn to fly again, learn to live so free -------------------------------------
Nalu had sort of let her mind wander abit, not noticing that the crowd was beginning to get bigger since night was falling more quickly. Her eyes soon drifted back down to what soda was left in the cup she had filled not even minutes before, and finished the very last few drops. The cup than seemed to vanish as another took it's place on the fountain, this truly was a place full of surprised and magic. Tucking some hair behind her ear she seemed to finally notice the people beginning to fill the square, had she drifted off in thought for that long. Oh and there was still the matter of the pie which she needed to deliver, how odd....she heard someone beside her and glanced to see a young boy. And didn't look any older than ten and Nalu hadn't even see the boy come up to her, nor did she see him even grab the pie. But wait a minute she was suppose to be delivering that to the customer that was waiting for it, how was she going to explain this to mother and father back at the pie shop. She would need to think of a good excuse otherwise she will be blamed for this, and probably taken off pie making duty for a week. "Hey now wait a minute, you can't just eat that. It doesn't belong to you, I was suppose to deliver that". Yeah she was going to get into big trouble, unless she told them that a hungry animal ate it or she had accidently dropped it. No they probably wouldn't believe that, guess she had to tell the truth when she got back home. But back to the matter of the boy and just where had he come from, young children just don't go around stealing other people's pies. Though seeing as how this boy devoured half of it already she could only take a guess he was really hungry, hearing his question she tilted her head slightly to the right. "Me.....oh I was just taking a break, and I was going to deliver that before joining in for the entertainment that is held here each night". Nalu had only ever heard the sound of the fireworks going off at midnight and listened to the distant sound of the music which is played by the elves and faeries, this would be her first time staying out so late. Now about this boy he really was young and surely he must have family worrying about him somewhere right, most children his age were tucked warmly in their beds dreaming about happy things. "And how about you, how come a little boy so young is out so late?" Nalu gave a small smile leaning down just abit, maybe she could help take him home if he would let her. After all she was one of those who loved to help other's almost like she was born to do so in every way possible, or if he was still hungry there were plently of places nearby still open she could get him something to eat. He seemed to like the pie so that meant he was probably a boy who loved sweets, and her delivery could always wait till tomorrow that's if her parents allowed her to make another pie to replace the one this little boy ate. Or if she was lucky there was another pie already made like this waiting back at the shop, and she could just sneak in and take it no harm done. Glancing away from the boy, Nalu heard the sound of the music starting up and the soda in the fountain turn into wine. Seems like the festivities have already started, which meant it was going to get very busy and crowded here. Looking back to the boy she just kept the smile on her lips as she spoke. "Do you have a name? I am called Sugar".TAG: Nero WORDS: 659 LYRICS: Broken Wings -- Mister Mister[/blockquote]

⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫ i don't want to change the world ⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫ Nero stared at her shock {or perhaps fear} look on her face. It was hard to tell which one it was for the boy though since he barely knew her. Either way it was obvious that she wasn't happy. Was it because she thought he was stealing? He really wasn't, she left the pie unguarded after all...kind of. Whatever, he could just pay for it anyway so it's not like it would matter anyway. Even if he was taught to kill, he was no thief. Thief was far too petty always stealing small stuffs, assassins on the other hand gets to kill people and see their body coated in blood. Not that was a lot more fun in his opinion, it was like that oni game he saw kids playing. Only difference is instead of doing it in a group, he did it alone. It does get kind of boring though, or at least he thinks it does. He couldn't really tell. He really hated it, not being able to identify things that others can so easily. It made him felt inferior to them.
"Hey now wait a minute, you can't just eat that. It doesn't belong to you, I was suppose to deliver that". she scolded him or at least the believed this is what they call scolding. Or was it lecturing? What the difference between the two actually? Since really, he couldn't see the difference between the two at all. Lecturing and scolding, isn't that just two different methods of teaching some idiotic restraint known as morals? "Eh? I think I have the ability too but well...I'll pay since I ate it. How much?" he asked with a small smile. He knew that he should be saving money in case of emergency since he really wanted a new pair of kodachis. In this crowd it wouldn't be hard to hide himself either but well, the girl caught his interest. It's not everyday you get to see someone who didn't exactly look that old walk out at night, not with Atrum Dias and King Tristan anyway.
So he got curious and decided to ask what she was doing out here all alone. There were not only creatures but humans lurking in the darkness as well. Humans that wouldn't think twice about killing someone. Nero couldn't help but smile to himself at that mere thought. People like him who simply has nothing else to do to pass their time. After all with so many humans in the world, he was sure no one would mine losing one or two of them right? "Me.....oh I was just taking a break, and I was going to deliver that before joining in for the entertainment that is held here each night". Came the answer to which he couldn't help but brightened at. Entertainment! That means games right? He couldn't wait now, games were so much fun. What game would they be playing? Would it be oni? Would it be a game of hide and seek? Would the seeker get to kill? Wait, of course the seeker would, that was how all of the games work. How silly of him. "Really?" and as if on cue he can hear fireworks. Fireworks, those were like bombs right? Only blown in the air. He prefer fire crackers a lot more personally though unlike most kids.
"And how about you, how come a little boy so young is out so late?" The boy merely pouted at her question. Just because he was young didn't meant that he couldn't be outside by himself. He was trained well enough to defend himself. No, even better, he was one of the people who can kill people, the offensive side in other words. "I'm not that young." he moaned. "Besides I can take care of myself." he was capable of at least that much. Great, now she went from interesting to just like everyone else. So much for her one uniqueness. Such a shame, maybe he should just leave now or something. Either that or kill her, maybe she'll look interesting in blood? Hmmm...he stared at her dress. She would look good in red alright. Too bad there was a crowd here though, maybe he should put up and illusion and just down the sound out?
Whatever, he started to eat the pie as she turned her head away from him. Nero glanced at the water though and noted it turned from white to red. Red....liquid. Blood? Fountains here can turn into blood? Now wasn't that interesting. "Do you have a name? I am called Sugar". Eh? He turned his head towards her. Well of course he has a name, doesn't everyone? What a silly girl. "Nero, nice to meet you Sugar." he chimed. "Say, since you don't have any more pies to deliver how about we go to the entertainment place?" he asked her. Since if he walks alone, he had a feeling that people would patronize him even more or send him back to his parents. Wait...would they be able to do the later? His parents were dead, well he suppose if they kill him they could.⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫ i just want to leave it colder ⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫ tag;;sugar/princess nalu words;;854 notes;;games~

Take these broken wings x x And learn to fly again, learn to live so free -------------------------------------
The look which had been upon her face before was one of shock, and disappointment. Shock because she had let herself go into deep thought and forget about the world around her, and also let the pie get eaten. And disappointment because the pie had gotten eaten. Now at first she wanted to panic because she had promised to deliver the pie to the rightful owner, and they had been wanting this delicious pie because they ordered it specifically with the ingredients inside it. Every customer who came to crusts and fillings had to fill out a little form, first they choose what pie crust they want and than the filling followed by any special extra ingredients they wanted. And when the order was done the customer could either come in and pick up the pie or have it delivered to where they live. Oh well no loss in this one little pie and there was no use in getting upset over it either. It just meant she could make another and probably get in trouble, or sneak into the pie shop to see if there was an extra pie with the same ingredients cooling on a rack. And it had been her fault that the pie got eaten anyways, this would teach her not to get lost in her silly day thoughts or would it be night thoughts now. Shaking her head she tryed to sound as nice as possible without lecturing the poor kid, Nalu didn't want to come off as mean or anything. Once she had said what needed to be said, she watched the boy with interest on what his reaction would be. He replied that he would pay since he ate the pie, and asked how much. Now she felt a little guilty for implying that it hadn't been his in the first place. "No need to pay, I can always make another one". There was no harm done and she loved to bake. Ever since she could pick up a recipe and read it, Nalu always wanted to try out new ideas for pies and crusts. Nalu knew the risks of coming out at this time of the night, although the square might seem like a festive place with music, food and drink she also knows the dangers. Many of the fairy tale people and creatures have whispered about the Atrum Dies and King Tristan, and the trouble and mayhem that follows behind them. Not to mention the carnage and kidnappings they leave in their wake, often she would put the words out of her mind trying not to listen. Most customers who came into the shop also said such things as well, but to live in fear all your life is sometimes safer but seeing those you care about die is even worse. When he asked what she was doing all by herself out here, she of course answered him. Many times she wanted to come out to see all the entertainment that so many spoke about, she wanted to join in the dancing and singing. The drink and the food. Of course she was still too young to be drinking any wine of course, hearing the boy's excited reply she laughed lightly. "Yes really, I think they even play games. Nice games, though I have yet to see what they are like". Hearing the clock chime she quickly turned her head, was it midnight already. Where has the time gone. And right on cue the fireworks shot up into the sky in many different colors. They were so pretty, and so beautiful to watch. Of course her attention then turned back to the boy, and she asked what he was doing out so late. He seemed to pout when she asked the question, than said he wasn't that young and could take care of himself. Nalu never said he couldn't take care of himself, it was just a little odd to see a child like him out so late. If the fireworks were going off that meant she would need to get back to the shop soon, before her parents came looking for her. Adoptive parents that is, Nalu knew that she never belonged to them. They had said they found her abandoned when she was little and took her in as their own, lucky for her right. If it had been Tristan's guards that found her or anyone else, they probably would have killed her. Now one more question for the boy and that was a name, she asked him and than introduced herself as Sugar since that's what the baker and his wife named her. He than introduced himself as Nero. "It's very nice to meet you Nero".He then brought up that since she had no more pies to deliver, they could go to the entertainment place. "That sounds like fun, let's do it". She felt excited and so happy, besides if Nalu was with him no one would question as to why a little boy was out all by himself, gently taking his hand she walked with him into the crowd to try and find the games. ⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫ i don't want to change the world ⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫ When he told her that he could pay for it though she seemed to decline. "No need to pay, I can always make another one". Eh? If she didn't want the money then why lecture him in the first place. What a strange girl...strange but interesting girl actually. It's not every day you get to meet someone as young as her working either. Was she being forced to work or did she have to in order to live? Was it fun doing her work? Probably not if all you do is deliver, especially if the person you're delivering too is annoying or impatient. Yeah, there was no way he could deal with such a job. He rather just get his mission, go kill the person and then get his money. At least that way he won't have to deal with the pie getting too cold or not made right or if he took too long. Wait, no he has to deal with the last one at times as well but not too much.
He decided not to add on, if she didn't want the money than just more for him, that was all that mattered right? Looks like he might be able to get the new pair of kodachis after all. The thought pleased him quite a bit. The girl was really nice, stupid but then again aren't all nice people are? At least that was what he noticed. Nice people get taken advantage of and then quickly thrown away without a second glance. He was sure he had killed a couple of nice people as well, not that he care or even knew. It wasn't like he talked to them, he just killed them because he was paid to do it. Even more though was that it was a good way to spend your time and if you can make money to survive, why not right? That was how the boy had always seen it anyway. Does that mean that she would be used and then thrown away as well? Probably, how sad. Such a pretty girl like her to be thrown away. Now that he thought about it, that would be a rather big shame, she was too interesting to just be thrown away.
Or maybe not as she asked what a little boy like him was out so late. Immediately the first thing that came into his mind was her patronizing him. Really, she could had been so interesting he would have taken her to travel around. His next trip was towards King Lyle anyway, not because he was interested in the king. Really the guy was just boring like King Tristan picking on a neutral side. How he wished a war would start already but that's besides the point. No, he had a target to kill there. Apparently someone wanted a noble dead, it happens rather a lot though no matter what kingdom it was and well, the boy was more than happy to do it. That and maybe check out the place a bit, that does sound fun. He has never exactly been in a kingdom before.
The mention of entertainment though quickly got the ten year old's mind away from his little job. "Yes really, I think they even play games. Nice games, though I have yet to see what they are like". Eh? She hasn't seen what they are like? Then how would she know they were nice games? There were some really boring games after all like ring-around-the-rosie or follow the leader. There was no real punishment there and well, it was just boring to him. Maybe she was rather lenient on games like most people? Hmm, either way he suppose he can't really judge the games, not until he played it. Besides who knows, maybe he can make things interesting if it gets a little too boring. The thought made him grin a bit.
Soon he introduced himself but not before she introduced herself of course. "It's very nice to meet you Nero". she had replied back most likely out of custom rather than her meaning it. People can be just so deceptive at times after all. Oh well, for now she got his interest back or at least has her uses. Hmm, games, he really couldn't wait at all now. So since she had no more to deliver that meant that she was free right? That means she can take him to the games and play with him? Wow, it would be the first time he played a game with someone. The last time that happened was last week and well he was the winner so the loser...lost the game. "That sounds like fun, let's do it". she stated taking his hand. At first he had flinched as he wasn't used to such a thing. When someone touched him he was used to it being some sort of abuse, that was how they trained him.
Yet Nero forced himself to remain calm and not slap her hand away. He didn't want to scare her away since she was his ticket to play games without people constantly questioning him. Slowly though he noticed that her hands were gentle. Gentle? He was sure that was the word for it right? As they approached the games the fireworks became louder. He saw how people stared at it as if hypnotized but he didn't care. Just where were the games. Wait first, he needed to figure out where to stay though. "Hey Sugar, are there any cheap inns here?" he asked as they started to walk down. "Actually never mind we can worry about that later." he stated looking around at the booths to find a game to play. That was when he saw a small game where you are to scoop a fish. Hmm that sounded rather fun. "Hey how about we play that?" he asked pointing at the game grinning.⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫ i just want to leave it colder ⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫ tag;;sugar/princess nalu words;;983 notes;;yes!

Take these broken wings x x And learn to fly again, learn to live so free -------------------------------------
Okay so maybe lecturing him wasn't the right way to approach the situation, and he did offer to pay for the pie yet she declined. Guess that kind of strange right. He eats the pie and she get's all disappointed about it, than he offers to pay for his mistake and she declines his money. But what the boy didn't know is that she worked in the pie shop and could just as easy replace the pie, with the snap of a finger. "Really don't worry about it, making pies is easy and the filling for this one you just ate wasn't too special". Now when it came to special orders in the pie shop it was those ones which were hard to remake, because you had to go through all the forms and try to find the order which the customer had filled out. And that could usually take hours on end since you had to search through various stacks of papers. As for Nalu she could easily memorize certain orders that have been filled out, unless it asked for various fillings then she would need to find the paper. Pushing those thoughts aside she would think about it later, right now she wanted to have some fun. Feeling on her side she found her coin pouch which was hidden under a ruffle of her dress, she usually kept it tied there when she collected money from customers who she delivered to. Most of the customers who came to the shop either waited for their order and payed there, or if they were in a rush and asked for it delivered would they pick up the pay upon delivery. Most people who come into the shop know her for being a sweet and kind girl, one which could be mistaken for someone who is defenseless or can't take care of herself. That was untrue. Nalu could take care of herself quite well infact she had a few magical abilities up her sleeve that she could use when needed. However if someone caused trouble for her in the shop, she just used a rolling pin or flour or something to tell them to back off. Didn't always work but it made them calm down, her powers on the other hand awoke inside her when she was about ten years old. Even she had been so surprised at having them, and kept them secret from her adoptive parents. Watching as the fireworks take off into the sky she just seemed to smile, this was turning into the best night so far. Except for the poor pie that got eaten. But besides that she got to see this square come to life with music and excitement. Her eyes glanced around at all the people who seemed to be laughing, mostly humans but there were other creatures as well lurking in between. Nalu could barely make them out but she could see them, clapping and enjoying what was going on as well. Now she had only heard about what went on here from customers and people she passed each day if she had to deliver pies. They often spoke of the music which she could hear was lively and full of wonder and mystery. The food they had spoke about is said to melt in your mouth and on your tongue. The games which are played, they didn't go into great detail but they sounded interesting enough. This was the best part though, she was here now and they could both go and see what the games were like. It just gave into the mystery and curiousness to find out. So after introductions were done and stating that the games would be fun, she gently took ahold of his hand and led him through the crowd of people and creatures of all sorts. The games had to be nearby, Nero probably thought it was strange she suddenly just grabbed his hand, but she gave him enough grip to pull away if he wanted to. After all how would you like some strange girl you just met taking your hand and leading you into a crowd of party goers, leading you around to find some games and what not. Wouldn't you be surprised and curious as to why they did it. When he asked about there being any cheap inns around she stopped for a moment, why would he be asking about inns. "I believe there is one nearby if.......". He then told her to nevermind his question, and worry about it later. Did he not have a home or anything to go back to after this, is that why he was asking. Oh well it was best not to pry. As they came out towards the booths, her amber eyes glanced around at the many games set up. There were just so many she had no idea which one to choose from. Each looked like they would be fun until Nero pointed out a game where you scoop fish out with a small net. "That looks like it could be fun, good choice". Giving him a smile she walked with him over to the booth and glanced down to all the fish swimming around, now wasn't there usually a trick to catching these things. You had to be careful or something with the net you had, or scoop because it could break quite easily. And what would she do with the fish once she caught it, she had no clear bowls back at the shop. Unless the person running this establishment would give her a bowl to carry the fish in. "Did you want to go first, or shall I?". ⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫ i don't want to change the world ⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫ The girl was about to answer his question about where to stay but he had retracted his question. He would just find one later and if not he would just find a place to stay. There should be some good place around her, if not then the forest doesn't sound so bad. There would be free food there too, of course he would have to kill the animal but that was part of the fun. Killing an animal or a human, it makes no difference to him at all. Since well, aren't humans part of the animal kingdom anyway? Yet he had to admit, killing a human was more fun since there are few who would act so strangely. He couldn't exactly put it in words but they didn't act like how he would expect. Some would protect their family. He really didn't get it. Wouldn't it be better to offer them and then run? At least then they would have a few good minutes to live and possibly find someone to fend him off. Yet such thoughts don't seem to enter their mind. Did they not like to live?
Soon they made it to the games and he pointed to the ones that he wanted. Thanks to people being mesmerized by the fireworks there weren't that many people at the games. This was their chance to take advantage of it. Maybe they can play all the games and win all of the prizes. Although he wasn't so sure what he would do with half of the prizes as they were rather worthless. Most being small plushies or some wooden toy cheaply made. He suppose that was to be expected at a festival game though. It was never the prizes that people come for but the entertainment. Prizes just make more competition really. "That looks like it could be fun, good choice". She gave him a smile agreeing with him. Nero grinned back at her as they headed over. It seems the owner was watching the fireworks as well until he noticed the two and started to sit down and get ready.
He stared at the fish trying to choose which one. Wait...were the fish good to eat? Ehhh, they were so small, it would be better to go to a river and catch it. The boy stared at the man as he spoke the price which was rather cheap. No wonder why there were so many people here if the games were that cheap, even if they were momentarily distracted. "Did you want to go first, or shall I?". He stared at her remembering some saying about ladies first. Something he considered rather sexist really. How come girls get to go first? Why never the guys? Wouldn't it be better if he was to go first and check out the game to find a trick to it? "I'll go." he told her taking a small scoop and paying the fee. The problem was not to drop them right? Okay then this shouldn't be too hard.
Golden irises looked like an eagle ready to strike at its prey as he swung his arm in a quick motion scooping the fish leaving it no room to escape. Instantly the look of a predator was gone from his face as he stood up. "I did it~" he chimed handing over the scoop along with his prey. He watched as the man placed it in a small bag with water. As soon as he got it though an idea came into his mind but he was going to wait until Nalu get hers. "Your turn~?" he chirped.⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫ i just want to leave it colder ⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫⚫ tag;;sugar/princess nalu words;;601 notes;;fail post

Take these broken wings x x And learn to fly again, learn to live so free -------------------------------------
She was about to suggest that the nearest inn would be The Lucky Shamrock, but as soon as he said nevermind she sort of just stopped mid-sentence. Oh well if he wanted to wait till later to find the inn she could wait and by the sound of the music the fun was about to begin and get better throughout the night. And what was neat is that she got to see the fireworks, this was turning out to be the best night of her life. And what was really the best is that she didn't have to worry about delivering that pie and she met a new friend. A little boy but he seemed nice enough and was curious about the entertainment that was happening here. Nalu only heard about the music and the fireworks, and of course the games but this was her very first time actually being here and doing anything. Taking Nero's hand gently she led him into the crowd and weaved her way through until they found all the game booths. There were so many booths and so many games to choose from she had no idea which one to pick first. It was then that Nero pointed out a booth with fish, you catch the fish in the net and possibly win the fish as a pet. Telling him it was a good choice they both headed over and Nalu glanced down to all the fish swimming around, now this game was abit tricky wasn't it. She had never played it before or she might have when she was younger, oh well she was getting to play it now. Nalu turned to Nero and asked if she should go first or shall he. He instantly chirped with excitement and said he would first. So standing beside him as he payed the fee, her golden eyes watched him closely. Concentrate that was the key since those fish seemed to be swiming around so fast. Nalu noticed his expression change as Nero was going to catch the fish, like a enemy staring down it's prey getting ready to strike. It scared her a little but she said nothing and just continued to watch on, until he caught the fish and stood up the expression gone back to a happy one. Clapping her hands she smiled. "That was a great catch Nero, the fish you caught looks wonderful".Hearing him say it was her turn, she payed the man the fee to play and took the scoop going to the little pool and kneeling down. Making sure her dress pooled out around her, watching the fish swim around Nalu kept her eye on one that she really wanted. Little did she know that the dress she wore didn't fully cover the birthmark on her back, of course right now her attention was on the fish. Waiting for the right moment she quickly put the scoop in the water and caught the fish, standing up. "I did it, I did it!". Giving the fish to the man, he put it in a bag like Nero's and filled it with water before sealing it. Taking the bag she giggled watching the fish swim around, guess when she got home she'll just have to find a bowl for it. Looking back at Nero she wondered what they should do next, the fish game was fun but the night was still young and there was alot to see and do. Maybe they could get something to eat, she was a little hungry after seeing Nero eat that pie. And from what she has heard from customers and other's, the food was just melt in your mouth delicious. "So now that we caught our fish, how about we go see what kind of food there is? Or we can continue to play games". It didn't matter to her she wanted to have fun, and the night was still young.
